This index is generated from live, in-stock listings across PharmEasy, 1mg, Apollo, Netmeds, Truemeds, MedPlus, and PlatinumRx. For every medicine tracked on two or more of these pharmacies, we record the lowest and highest available price and express the difference as a percentage of the highest price.
To keep the figures trustworthy, only medicines with a price gap between 15% and 65% are included. This deliberately excludes extreme outliers that usually indicate a listing or data-entry error rather than a genuine market difference. Brand-to-salt mappings are cross-referenced against the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), and pricing context is informed by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) framework.
The index is compiled and reviewed by the MediSaathi Editorial Team and refreshed automatically. It is provided for price-transparency and informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Across the medicines in this index, the price for the exact same product differs by an average of 34% between the cheapest and most expensive of 7 major Indian online pharmacies. The widest gap currently tracked is 65%. Comparing before you buy is the simplest way to capture that difference.
This index compares live listings across PharmEasy, 1mg, Apollo, Netmeds, Truemeds, MedPlus, and PlatinumRx. Every price shown is sourced directly from the respective pharmacy.
For each medicine we take the lowest and highest in-stock price across all tracked pharmacies and express the gap as a percentage of the highest price: (max − min) ÷ max × 100. Only medicines listed on at least two pharmacies with a gap between 15% and 65% are included, which filters out data-entry artefacts and keeps the index reliable.
