GLEMPA 25 TABLET

GLEmpa 25 Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease (CKD). It helps lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes when used with diet and exercise. In heart failure and CKD, it helps reduce hospitalizations and slow disease progression. GLEmpa 25 Tablet can be taken with or without food, in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. For best results, continue to follow your doctor’s advice on diet and exercise. Stay well-hydrated, especially during hot weather or physical activity, and attend regular check-ups to monitor your blood sugar, kidney function, and overall health. The most common side effects of GLEmpa 25 Tablet are urinary tract infections and female genital yeast infections (vaginal mycosis). Maintain good personal hygiene, drink plenty of fluids, and contact your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Some people, especially those taking insulin or sulfonylureas, may experience low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). If this happens, consume something sugary and inform your doctor if it occurs frequently.Do not use GLEmpa 25 Tablet if you are allergic to empagliflozin or any of its ingredients. This medicine is not recommended for people with type 1 diabetes. Use it with caution if you have kidney or liver problems, are elderly, take diuretics (water pills), or have low blood pressure, as it may cause dehydration or dizziness. scienceMechanism of Action (How it works)

expand_more

GLEmpa 25 Tablet works by selectively blocking a protein in the kidneys called the sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2). This protein is responsible for reabsorbing glucose from the urine back into the bloodstream. GLEmpa 25 Tablet inhibits this protein, causing the excess glucose to be eliminated through the urine, which helps lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. Additionally, this process leads to mild salt and water loss, helping to reduce the workload on the heart and support kidney health, thereby lowering the risk of heart failure and progression of chronic kidney disease.
