OLMESAR PLUS 20MG TABLETS

Olmesar Plus tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). It contains azelnidipine, a calcium channel blocker, and olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). Together, these medicines help control blood pressure by relaxing and widening blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood efficiently. Regular use of this medicine helps maintain stable blood pressure and reduces the risk of complications associated with uncontrolled hypertension. Azelnidipine works by blocking the entry of calcium into the smooth muscles of blood vessels, which leads to relaxation of the vessel walls and improved blood flow. Olmesartan medoxomil works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict and increases blood pressure. By inhibiting this hormone, olmesartan helps prevent narrowing of blood vessels and further supports blood pressure reduction. Olmesar Plus tablet is usually prescribed when a single medicine is not sufficient to control blood pressure effectively. It may be recommended for long-term management of hypertension, especially in patients who require combination therapy for better blood pressure control. This medicine should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor, and regular monitoring of blood pressure is advised to ensure optimal treatment outcomes. Before starting Olmesar Plus tablet, patients should inform their doctor about existing medical conditions such as kidney or liver problems, heart disease, or electrolyte imbalances, as well as all medicines they are currently taking. This medicine should not be stopped abruptly without medical advice, as sudden discontinuation may lead to uncontrolled blood pressure. Proper adherence to treatment, along with lifestyle modifications such as a healthy diet, reduced salt intake, and regular exercise, plays an important role in achieving effective blood pressure control.
