CETIL 500 TABLET

Cetil 500 Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals, as prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose will depend on the infection being treated and the severity of your condition. Make sure to complete the full course of treatment, even if you start feeling better. This medicine will not work for viral infections such as the flu or the common cold. Using an antibiotic when it is not needed can make it less effective for future infections. The most common side effects of this medicine include rash, vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea. These are usually mild, but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days. Before using it, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics or have any kidney or liver problems. You should also let your doctor know all other medicines you are taking, as they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctor before using it.

helpFrequently Asked Questions

What is Cetil 500 Tablet used for, and how does it work?

expand_more

Cetil 500 Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections when prescribed by a doctor. It may be used for infections of the respiratory tract, throat, sinuses, ears, urinary tract, skin, or soft tissues. It works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall, which weakens and kills the bacteria, helping the body’s immune system clear the infection.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Cetil 500 Tablet?

expand_more

If you miss a dose of Cetil 500 Tablet, take the next scheduled dose at the usual time unless your doctor advises otherwise. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose because this may increase the risk of side effects.

Is Cetil 500 Tablet a strong antibiotic?

expand_more

Cetil 500 Tablet can be an effective antibiotic when prescribed for the right infection, but “strong” does not mean it should be used casually. The benefit depends on the type of infection, your overall health, and whether the bacteria causing the infection are sensitive to this medicine.

How long should I take Cetil 500 Tablet and why must the full course be completed?

expand_more

The duration of treatment with Cetil 500 Tablet depends on the type and severity of the infection and should be followed exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Many people notice improvement within a few days, but the full course must be completed to ensure the infection is fully cleared and to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.

Can Cetil 500 Tablet treat urinary tract infection (UTI)?

expand_more

Yes, Cetil 500 Tablet may be prescribed for certain uncomplicated urinary tract infections when a doctor considers it appropriate. The duration and dose depend on the severity of the infection and the patient’s medical condition.
