lightbulbExpert Advice & Quick Tips

expand_more

arrow_rightYour doctor has prescribed Flubichlor Eye Drop to cure your eye infection and improve your symptoms.
arrow_rightUse it twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
arrow_rightWash your hands first before applying Flubichlor Eye Drop. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If it does, squeeze out two or three drops straightaway onto some tissue and rinse the tip with saltwater.
arrow_rightApply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after putting the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.
arrow_rightDo not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
arrow_rightEye infections can cause your eyes to become more sensitive to sunlight than usual. Wearing sunglasses may help to prevent this.
arrow_rightAlong with using Flubichlor Eye Drop, give warm compress to your eyes to get relief from itching and burning sensation.
arrow_rightTake care to avoid spreading the infection from one eye to the other, and to other members of your family. Washing your hands regularly (particularly after touching your eyes) and not sharing towels or pillows will help to prevent the infection from spreading.

scienceMechanism of Action (How it works)

expand_more

Flubichlor Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Chloramphenicol and Flurbiprofen which treat eye infections. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Flurbiprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the eye.
