Question 1

What is Maball 100mg Injection used for?

Accepted Answer

Maball 100mg Injection is used to treat several immune-related diseases and cancers, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), granulomatosis with polyangiitis, and microscopic polyangiitis. In rare cases, your doctor may also prescribe this medicine to treat pemphigus vulgaris and moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis when other treatments have not worked.

Question 2

Why do doctors give Maball 100mg Injection for both cancer and autoimmune diseases?

Accepted Answer

Maball 100mg Injection helps control overactive immune cells, which play a role in certain cancers and inflammatory diseases. This makes it useful across multiple conditions that involve harmful immune activity.

Question 3

Who should not receive Maball 100mg Injection?

Accepted Answer

Maball 100mg Injection should not be given to anyone who has had a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction to rituximab or its ingredients in the past. If you have had a serious infusion reaction before, your doctor will consider alternatives.

Question 4

What are the serious side effects of Maball 100mg Injection?

Accepted Answer

Serious side effects of Maball 100mg Injection include severe infusion reactions, severe skin reactions, heart-related problems, and life-threatening infections. Your doctor and care team will monitor you closely during and after infusions to catch these early.

Question 5

Can Maball 100mg Injection cause dangerous infusion reactions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Some people may have serious or life-threatening reactions during, or within 24 hours of receiving Maball 100mg Injection, including breathing difficulty, swelling, dizziness, or sudden drops in blood pressure. This is why the first dose is given slowly and under close supervision.

Question 6

Does Maball 100mg Injection increase my risk of infections?

Accepted Answer

Maball 100mg Injection can weaken your immune defenses and increase the chance of infections, including serious viral, bacterial, or fungal infections. Rare but severe infections such as progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), a brain infection, have been reported. Call your doctor if you develop fever, confusion, weakness, or new neurological symptoms.

Question 7

Can Maball 100mg Injection reactivate old infections like hepatitis B?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Maball 100mg Injection can reactivate the hepatitis B virus in people who previously had the infection. This can be life-threatening. Doctors routinely test for hepatitis B before beginning therapy, and may do regular blood checks during treatment.

Question 8

Does Maball 100mg Injection affect the heart?

Accepted Answer

Some people experience irregular heartbeat, chest pain, or low blood pressure during Maball 100mg Injection infusion. Those with heart problems may need extra monitoring. Report any chest discomfort or unusual heartbeat immediately.

Question 9

Are there people who need extra caution before getting Maball 100mg Injection?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Before starting Maball 100mg Injection, let your doctor know if you have heart disease, lung problems, a current infection, a history of hepatitis B, low immune function, or recent or planned vaccines. These conditions may require additional testing or treatment adjustments.

Question 10

Can Maball 100mg Injection cause long-term immune changes?

Accepted Answer

As Maball 100mg Injection lowers certain immune cells for months, some people may have delayed infections or may respond less effectively to vaccines. Doctors often monitor blood tests during and after treatment to ensure immune recovery.
