PIROX

Pirox gel is a topical medicine used to relieve symptoms such as pain, swelling, and stiffness caused by minor injuries like sprains, bruises, or superficial tendinitis. It contains piroxicam as an active ingredient. It works by blocking certain substances in the body that cause inflammation, helping to ease discomfort and improve movement in the affected area. It is meant for external use only and should be applied to clean, dry skin with a gentle massage. Avoid using this medicine on broken or infected skin, burns, or cuts. Do not use it if you are allergic to piroxicam, aspirin, or similar anti-inflammatory drugs. Common side effects may include skin redness, itching, rashes, blisters, or other allergic skin reactions. Although rare, some individuals may experience severe skin issues or heightened sensitivity to sunlight. Use the medication exactly as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands before and after applying it, unless your hands are being treated. Avoid covering the treated area with bandages, and do not let the medicine come into contact with your eyes or mouth. Store it in a cool, dry place and keep it out of reach of children and pets. If too much is applied, simply wipe off the excess. Talk to your doctor before using Pirox gel if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have asthma, allergies, or kidney problems. Let your doctor know if you experience skin irritation, breathing difficulties, or if you have a history of severe skin reactions. Although it is applied to the skin and is unlikely to interact with other medications, it is always a good idea to inform your doctor about any other treatments you are using.
