TELSARTAN 40MG TABLET

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor, which leads to vasodilation and a decrease in blood pressure. Telmisartan is also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke and myocardial infarction in patients with cardiovascular risk factors. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function is recommended while taking telmisartan.
